Title: Water Resources Management and Alternatives, Egypt.

Abstract:
Water is an essential commodity upon which all life on Earth depends. The world is facing a global water crisis. Continuing population growth and urbanization, rapid industrialization, and expanding and intensifying food production are all putting pressure on water resources globally. In Egypt, the water availability from Nile River is not increasing and possibilities for additional resources are limited. The water demand has multiplied as a result of population growth, agricultural expansion, as well as industrial development and a rise in the standard of living. Population growth and related industrial developments have resulted in severe pollution of water which leads to threatening the public health and reducing the amount of good quality water, also the extravagant consumer behavior and the Egyptian government which has disregard water challenges and threats that waste more than 50 of the purified drinking water, consequently, Egypt will suffer considerable water shortages in the near future. This research aims to propose alternative water resources systems that can help in saving water and reducing 50 - 80 of purified drinking water supplied to the domestic, commercial and industrial buildings in addition to landscape irrigation by substituting the water demand not intended for drinking by these alternative systems, as other alternative resources have disadvantages reflected to their infeasibility to the environmental, economical and social conditions in Egypt. Besides proposing these alternative resources as the most feasible alternative water resources in Egypt, on the other hand, strategic mechanisms are recommended in order to embrace these systems in the Egyptian market and enhance water responsibility to all the stakeholders in the Egyptian society
